I’ve started to put together a collection of everybody’s beautiful photos here! Took a while to get them all collected and posted, sorry for the wait! If any of you have more photos that you haven’t shared yet, please send them my way, I’d love to see them, and I’ll add them here. Thank you SO MUCH to all the generous and gifted friends who have shared your photography skills with us!
Wonderful and talented Pam of Pamela Vachon Photography took some really excellent photos which are available for ordering prints or hi-res download. She has shared her photos here! you can easily order prints or download them in hi-res versions.
Many of the other photos can also be ordered as prints, IF you are logged in to a Flickr account. Each photo is linked to Flickr, if you click the image it will take you there, and above the left side of the photo there is an “actions” menu, where you can click on “Order Prints and More.” If anybody wants prints and has trouble trying to order them, let me know and I’ll try to help!

Beloved guests, one of you has left behind a sort of pale beige colored lacy-knit cotton sweater or shrug type thing. Looks like it belongs to a smallish lady. Please let me know if you are missing this item and I will mail it to you!

Hey guys, we are so excited to see you all soon! We’ve been really really happy to see all the folks who are planning to come and we’re just really looking forward to seeing so many awesome friends and family all at the same time!
Weather report looks excellent. Fingers crossed for no mosquitoes. I’ll be sending out one more email to everyone a few days before the date, with directions and a few timely reminders (ie. bring a warm sweater for the evening! And wear SENSIBLE shoes – our back yard is kinda rough terrain, probably not so good for heels).
If you haven’t read through all the info on this site, now’s a good time – there’s lots of useful and important stuff here!
YAY!

We’re inviting you to a big party, nothing too fancy. It will be casual, non-traditional, in our back yard. Just a time to get together and visit and celebrate love: our love for each other, for our families and friends, old and new! Expect food, drinks, friends, family, music, colors, fun. Our house is in Limington, Maine, out in the country, about an hour away from Portland. We’re planning a simple backyard-barbecue. There will be a brief and simple ceremony. We will have a big tent in case of rain. We’ll be serving drinks and snacks in the afternoon and a buffet dinner in the evening, followed by more fun and drinks. We invite folks to pitch a tent in the back yard and camp out for the night! (we will have a special breakfast in the morning too, and maybe a visit to the local swimming hole.)
We’re so excited to have everyone together and can’t WAIT for the big party! Look forward to seeing you!!

Because of limited parking at the house, we’ve arranged parking at the Limington Town Hall which is just down the road from our house. Please park there and a shuttle will bring you down to our house – click here for shuttle schedule and details.
The nearest airport to our house is Portland International Jetport – airport code PWM. Check out flights on Jet Blue, which can be pretty reasonable. Our house is about 45 minutes west of the airport. Amtrak runs to Portland or Saco, both of which are around an hour from our house. If you’re flying in for the weekend, I recommend renting a car or carpooling, or else drop us a line to talk about getting a ride out from the airport.
FROM PORTLAND, WESTBROOK, GORHAM, POINTS EAST:
head West on Route 25 all the way until Limington. After you cross the Saco River at Limington Rips (you’ll notice the picnic area on your left), you go about 2 more miles until the only stoplight in Limington. Turn left at the light, onto Route 11, and drive about a mile and a half. Park at the Limington Town Hall at 425 Sokokis Ave, it’s a big low white building with a huge parking lot – here’s a visual. There will be a shuttle to bring you up to our house.

FROM NORTH CONWAY, CORNISH, POINTS WEST:
Easy Route: Head southeast on Route 16 out of North Conway. Turn left on 302 E and continue across the Maine border, into Fryeburg. Turn right onto Route 113 S at the stoplight in Fryeburg. Continue on 113 for about 25 miles. In Steep Falls, turn right onto Route 11, and drive about five and a half miles. Park at the Limington Town Hall at 425 Sokokis Ave, it’s a big low white building with a huge parking lot – here’s a visual. There will be a shuttle to bring you up to our house.

Alternate Lovely Scenic Route: Follow Route 16 into Conway, turn right on Main street then immediately turn left onto Route 153. Follow 153 on a nice winding, twisty ride past Crystal Lake and Eaton Village. Stay on 153 until it intersects with 25 (or you can take a much prettier shortcut through historic Freedom Village by turning left a bit sooner, on Cushing Corner Road, there is a signpost at the corner that points to Freedom; this road will also connect up with route 25). Either way, you’ll be taking a left onto Route 25 and follow it through Cornish into Limington, when you get to the stoplight in Limington, turn right onto Route 11, and drive about a mile and a half. Park at the Limington Town Hall at 425 Sokokis Ave, it’s a big low white building with a huge parking lot – here’s a visual. There will be a shuttle to bring you up to our house.

Since we live out in the country, there aren’t really any large hotels in our neighborhood, so we don’t have a designated hotel for the wedding; instead we’ve compiled a list of small places nearby. We’ve tried to list every place we could find within a 45-minute radius of home; some of them are quite close to our house! And if you don’t mind staying an hour or more away, consider looking up accommodations in some of the other areas I’ve listed here. Also, if you’re thinking of staying for more than a few days, renting a cabin or a vacation house can be a great deal! check out www.airbnb.com or craigslist.
listed in order of distance from our house:
our backyard, Limington, Maine – 0 miles / 0 minutes
pitch a tent in our yard! we’d love to have you. plenty of space. party til you’re sleepy, then breakfast will be served in the morning and we can all take turns in the shower, run under the garden hose or just go for a swim in the river down the street.
Cornish & Limerick, Maine these are the closest places, Limerick is a tiny little town with some interesting historic buildings; Cornish is a slightly bigger tourist spot with a few really good restaurants, a handful of little antique shops and interesting stores, plus a drug store, grocery store, dollar store, feed store, a few fast food places, etc.

Freedom House Bed & Breakfast – Freedom, NH – 20 miles / 32 mins
Hatfield’s B&B – Freedom, NH – 20 miles / 32 mins
Bridgton, Maine is a really cute town, has a great movie theater, decent thai food and a handful of other restaurants, lots of pretty old victorian homes and a beautiful park with views across the lake to the mountains, lots of businesses and shops in town, and the drive from Bridgton to Limington is really rural and beautiful.

We realized that folks may be interested in carpooling since it’s a long drive and many of you live near each other but may not know each other… so the idea is, if you are looking for a ride up to the wedding, or you are planning to drive up and want an extra passenger or two, or whatever… then post a comment here and let folks know where you’re coming from, how many people need a ride or how many passengers you could carry. Feel free to post your name and email address as this site is blocked from search engines.
